8 Shekel Falafel at Super Grill

Falafel is one of the foods that many people associate with Israeli cuisine. In almost every town, city, and  neighborhood you will find a little hole in the wall restaurant that sells these delicious spiced fried chick pea balls in a pita. It is an inexpensive snack or lunch while you are enjoying your day, or to satisfy your craving for this ubiquitous meal. Finding the best falafel might not be something you feel like undertaking because there are hundreds of falafel stands. Finding the best bang for your buck however is much easier. On Sderot Yerushaliyim in Jaffa you will find the best bang for your buck at the Super Grill restaurant. It is located right across the street from Super Shuk if you are familiar with the area. Besides falafel, Super Grill offers kebabs, grilled chicken, schnitzel, and other quick service foods. What Super Grill is known for however is its 8 shekel falafel pita. For 8 shekels, you can have some spectacular falafel with all of the add ons you like at no extra cost. The falafel balls themselves are delicious and are usually freshly fried and are not standing for too long. They are nicely spiced with cumin, coriander, chili, and sesame seeds. They are crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside just the way they should be. It is a bargain and I highly suggest seeking out a falafel from Super Grill. For those of you who do not know the exchange rate 8 shekels is worth around $2.22. That is a steal for a falafel. Feeding yourself for $2.22 for lunch is something I am behind one hundred percent. If you are adventuring through Jaffa, make sure to stop by Super Grill  on Sderot Yerushaliyim for the falafel, I know you will not be disappointed. Plus Super Grill is less expensive than most of the restaurants on Yefet St or in the Flea Market so make sure to get down to Sederot Yerushaliyim for the falafel. It is light on the wallet and it tastes fantastic. Enjoy!
