A few weeks back, I had my last day with Jaffa Lacrosse. My friend Ian had the idea of clinics in Jaffa and we started working with the Ajeal School in Jaffa. Ajeal is an all Arab school that we had been working with since the winter. We worked with both girls and boys from the school and it was a pleasure to teach these kids the game of Lacrosse. The girls were supervised by some of my friends from Tikkun Olam in Tel Aviv. Big thanks to them for working with the girls As part of their final clinic, the boys and girls took to the field and got a skills demonstration from myself and members of Israel Lacrosse. After their skills station both the girls and boys had a game between each other. It looked like they had an amazing time on the field. Working with the boys from Ajeal was a pleasure. To see them excited about a sport that is new to Israel is great for the growth of Lacrosse here in Israel. I would also like to thank Yousef, the sports director at Ajeal for coordinating the clinics for us. We could not have done it without his enthusiasm for bringing a new sport to show the kids. Thanks to the kids, volunteers, and anyone who helped make these clinics happen. It was a good start to bring the sport of Lacrosse to Israel. If we continue to have clinics, who knows how popular the sport could become. I would like to thank my friend Ian for letting me be a part of the clinics.
