There are many dishes that are ubiquitous in Israeli cuisine. Falafel, Shwarma, hummus, tehina, and schnitzel are just a few dishes that you can find almost everywhere. Israeli Salad is also one of those dishes. You can kind it everywhere. It is found at almost every single shwarma and falafel stand. It is eaten as part of a healthy Israeli breakfast with eggs and bread. Salad is also a side dish to lunch and dinner as well. Its simply diced tomatoes and diced cucumbers, but you can make it your own with other vegetables such as diced peppers, carrots, or onions. For the dressing it is simply freshly squeezed lemon juice, salt, pepper, and extra virgin olive oil. I usually make mine with cucumbers, tomatoes, and onions. This time however I decided to keep the onion out and I added some zaatar. It is extremely healthy for you and its delicious. I add it to my falafel and shwarma all of the time. It is extremely easy to make so anyone can make it. Try it and I guarantee you will enjoy it. Enjoy!
